A Visit with Uncle Rick

It's been a long time since Joey last saw her uncle, so he made a special trip to the bay just for her.  She was so excited to play with her daddy's older brother! The boo showed off all her new skills and he was quite impressed with this little nine month old lady.  She still does some of her old favorites like sticking out her tongue when requested, and turning the pages of the book you read to her, now she also claps when you ask her too, waves if you say "ciao" or "buh-bye" and makes a sound like an elephant if you make it too!  Between that and running all over the place, we had a fun filled few days together.  We made a really delicious dinner together last night; I would've taken pictures had I not been scarfing down my food.

A Day by the Lake

 

We walk to the lake almost daily, but we're not always able to do it with Nick.  When we do it always ends up being my favorite day of the week.  Joey loves feeding the ducks, and other birds that are there.  This time we decided it was finally time to let the little Boo take a ride on the swing.  She was ecstatic!  Just being around all the little kids running around is usually enough to make her squeal in delight, so when she sat on the swing, well she just couldn't contain herself.  It was really adorable.  She went on the slide with her daddy and even played a bit in the grass.  Overall it was a glorious day!  Our little baby girl is turning into a little lady before our eyes.  She acts more and more like a kiddo everyday.
